Simon Woodman, "Tehcnical Presentation on Dynamic Deployment, Adaptability and Distributed Enactment in Workflows"

Abstract: Composition of web services using workflow style technologies has been growing in recent years. As part of our work on the Adapt project we have created a graphical composition language and distributed enactment engine for such composite web services. Novel features of the enactment engine include dynamic deployment of web services; deployment of partial descriptions of the composition; distributed enactment of the composition across organisational boundaries. I will be discussing the technical aspects of these features with an emphasis on how they can be used in both business and scientific scenarios.
